Update Team iDemise has NOT released an 80-85 Cataclysm update to their WoW Leveling guide, looks like they are out of the leveling guide market! Real shame as it was a good leveling guide.
I recommend using the The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide if you don’t have much money or Joana WoW leveling guide 1-85 if you do :-)
Update Team iDemise finally updated their leveling guides to include level 70-80 information roughly two weeks after the release of WOTLK.
This is VERY slow and so I can no longer recommend this guide, instead I recommend the use of The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide for $47 for both Horde and Alliance guides or $32 for one faction.
November 13th 2008 Update The Wrath of the Lich King is out and it looks like for the Horde Joana has won the race to release the first Wrath of the Lich King leveling 1-80 Horde Leveling Guide. Joana has included a ingame map mod like the Team iDemise mod and so there is little between the two WOW Horde guides now except who updates fastest.
Since Joana has updated first I have to recommend Joana’s WOTLK 1-80 Leveling Guide over the Team iDemise WOTLK 1-80 Leveling guide (not yet released).
You can read my original Joana’s 1-70 and 70-80 Horde Leveling Guide Review.
No news** on the top two Alliance leveling guides yet, so both Team iDemise Alliance leveling guide and Brian Kopp’s Alliance leveling guide haven’t updated yet (Brian’s guide eventually closed!).
Which ever updates first will be my Alliance recommendation since we want super FAST updates, though I haven’t read anything about Brian Kopps adding an ingame mod and I really like the ingame mods, so might stay with Team iDemise for the Alliance 70-80 guide (assuming they update soon).
** Very quick update: a few hours after updating this post I found Brian Kopp’s had indeed updated his guide to include level 70-80 information, so he had his level 80 guide available the day WOTLK was released (unfortunately the guide no longer exists).
So many decisions to make, I feel like a yo yo going back and forth with my recommendations!
November 13th 2008 Update Two After a few hours sleep I checked Brian Kopp’s site again and Brian Kopp’s Alliance 1-80 leveling guide is out. Still no news on the Team iDemise 1-80 leveling guides, so looks like the old boys (Joana and Brian Kopps) have done it again and beat the rest of the World of Warcraft leveling guide market to be the first to release their WOW leveling guide WOTLK updates.
And like Joana, Brian has listened to what World of Warcraft players want and has also included an ingame mod for his Alliance 1-80 guide. I’m not a big Alliance player (FOR THE HORDE :)), but when I need a level 80 Alliance toon I’ll be using the Brian Kopp’s Alliance leveling guide since like Joana for the Horde level 80 guide he’s the fastest to release his Wrath of the Lich King 70-80 leveling guide.
I’ll keep an eye on the Team iDemise website and post when they update. With the money World of Warcraft users like me and you pay them, it really should be today.
Cya ingame.
End of update.
When I bought and reviewed the very successful ebooks Joana’s 1-70 Horde Leveling Guide (soon to be 70-80 leveling guide for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion) and Brian Kopp’s 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide for World of Warcraft in May 2007, I never expected a year later to find a better set of WOW leveling guides from a bunch of Counter-Strike players no less :-)
I’m not going to go into the same detail I did with the other two WOW leveling guides (I’m to old, tired and would rather be raiding with my guild), I’m just going to cover the basics.
Team iDemise 1-70 Alliance & Horde Leveling Guide is faster at leveling than both Joana’s 1-70 and Brian Kopp’s 1-70 Leveling Guides and so if your planning on buying a leveling guide go to Team iDemise Leveling Guide WebSite and buy theirs.
End of WOW leveling guide review, good night and see you ingame.
I wish it was that easy to satisfy my readers :-(
What you get with your Team iDemise 1-70 Leveling Guides
1. Unlike other guides this has been created by a group of gamers (the other WOW guides are one man bands) and they have gone to a lot of trouble to cover all starting areas. So the complaints that these leveling guides only suites Hunters and Warlocks (they have pets) is not the case with the Team iDemise creations.
2. You get their version of the MapMod v2 leveling addon, this holds the leveling guide information ingame, so no need to tab out all the time to read what quest to do next etc… Note the creator of the Joana horde Leveling guide is working on an ingame mod as well which will be released with his Wrath of the Lich King 70-80 leveling guide update (based on the Wrath of the Lich King beta access).
3. It’s a little cheaper, not by much but as we are all tight gits every little bit helps :-)
I look forward to seeing a level 70-80 or 1-80 WOW Wrath of the Lich King leveling guide from this gaming group when the time comes. Have a feeling it’s going to be super fast.
Team iDemise also have a gold guide which I’ve reviewed : Team iDemise WOW Gold Guide Review
I’ve preordered Wrath of the Lich King from Amazon (they always get things fast to me), can’t wait for it to arrive.

I have used both teamidemise’s horde guide and joana’s, and I must say although it is nice to have an in-game guide, joana’s guide is much more efficient and faster to use. I cannot comment on the alliance guides, cuz i don’t play alliance.
I Been Looking For A Free Leveling Guide And I Wanted To Use It For That I Could Get A Paladin In lEvel 80 Before My Days In MY Account Is Over And Next Time I Get Back On I Could Start Raiding.

Chris, that’s total BS.
I bought the Team iDemise ebooks and it’s not a download link you get, so that suggests you didn’t buy this product, nice try though :)
With regards the money back guarantee, Team iDemise (like most of the WOW ebook sellers) use a company called Clickbank for sales and they have a blanket 60 day money back guarantee. Basically if you buy a product like this through Clickbank there is no way for the vendor to prevent you getting a full refund from Clickbank.
So there is an ironclad 100% money back guarantee.
These are very good products, though as you can see from my review above I recommend other creators of similar WOW leveling guides (Horde and Alliance) because Team iDemise did not update fast enough when Wrath of the Lich King was released: I was really disappointed with the slow update because I switched from using (and recommending) Joana’s guide when Team iDemise released their ingame mod version of their guides and now I’ve gone back to Joana’s guide (feel like I’m flip flopping back and forth!).
