WOTLK Leveling Guides Update December 2009: I’ve been getting emails that the Wrath of the Lich King leveling guides I’ve recommended are too expensive and could I recommend a cheaper Wrath of the Lich King leveling guide for 1-80 leveling for both the Horde and Alliance :)

So after five months of research and testing (I love playing World of Warcraft) I can recommend The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide as a cheaper alternative to WOW leveling. The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide covers levels 1-80, comes with an ingame mapmod so in concept it matches the other main WOW leveling guides. I’ve leveled 8 toons with this guide (five from level 1 to 80 and three from level 70 to 80) and it’s not my favourite leveling guide, but at $32 for Horde, $32 for Alliance or $47 for BOTH (I bought both, big saving) it’s far cheaper than the other leveling guides, especially if you want to level both factions.

Update 1st December 2008 Team iDemise finally updated their leveling guides to include level 70-80 information roughly two weeks after the release of WOTLK.

This is VERY slow and so I can no longer recommend this guide, instead I recommend the use of The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide for $47 for both Horde and Alliance guides or $32 for one faction.

November 13th 2008 Update The Wrath of the Lich King is out and it looks like for the Horde Joana has won the race to release the first Wrath of the Lich King leveling 1-80 Horde Leveling Guide. Joana has included a ingame map mod like the Team iDemise mod and so there is little between the two WOW Horde guides now except who updates fastest.

Update August 2009 Got some bad news regarding Brian Kopp’s WOW Alliance Leveling Guide, according to his site Brain is no longer supporting this leveling guide!! This REALLy sucks as it’s a really good guide. I would suggest either using the Team iDemise Alliance guide (note my comments on the speed of updates below) or The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide which is a very good leveling guide and cheaper than both Brian’s and Team iDemise! I’ve changed all the links that went to the Brain Kopp’s leveling guide to the The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide below.

Only good news about this is I play the Horde far more than I play the Alliance :)
