Before I get into Forex trading system reviews going to cover my financial trading background, which has been trading shares and traded options not Forex/currency trading (so far anyway, so just starting my research on Forex trading).

My Financial Trading Background

Update March 2009: The three year fixed part of our mortgage ran out recently. Thanks in part to the advice from the site reviewed below we’ve reduced our mortgage by an extra £20,000 now and expect to pay off our 25 year mortgage (22 years left) in well under 10 years from now saving a LOT of interest payments.

Right now waiting to see what happens with the UK base rate so on a variable rate mortgage, when I’m confident the base rate won’t drop any more (currently 0.5%) I’ll get another 3 year fixed rate deal to lock in a low rate while using the tips in the ebooks I bought to reduce the overall loan amount long term (which reduces interest paid overall, that’s how you pay your mortgage faster, you still have to pay the initial amount lent).

Update: Turned out the Social Media Marketing System was all smoke and mirrors. The person running it would get loads of new Facebook contacts, some of which would buy the full version of his products.

I was a member of their forum and there was talk of collaborations together, but reality was nothing came of it and considering my SEO skills you can imagine what I could achieve for/with others. My opinion is it’s setup to take advantage of those without a clue about making money online (take advantage of them).

BTW my Facebook profile was deleted by Facebook, presumably because I was inviting too many people to be my friends. I’ve created a new profile and not gone after any friends, just used it to claim my groups and post on Facebook groups I find interesting.

Google AdSense has added the ability for publishers to target their AdSense ads to the content they think best suits their site so ads shown on their sites should only show relevant AdSense ad units.

Many sites have a lot of recurring content: headers, menu, footers and anything else you might find on every page of a site.

This can cause problems for your SERPs (diluting your keyword rich content) and the relevancy of your AdSense ads.

For example this site has a variety of content including a few posts about the World of Warcraft Gold and Leveling guides and I see a lot of ads that match this content on pages that have nothing to do with this content.

Reading the newsgroup alt.internet.search-engines and a post subject: PR confusion? caught my eye.

A poster to the NG has been having problems with an affiliate site http://www.review-a-gadget.com/ and he’s been given some poor quality advice.

I’m confused about PR again.

Not surprised you’ve got some really bad advice lately, been following your newsgroup threads, but I didn’t have the time to post, but it became too much to see another round of ignorance sending you again down the wrong path chasing SERPs I don’t think this site can gain!

Someone in another group told me about the importance of getting deep in links to my inner pages.

My affiliate marketing post in January: Affiliate Marketing, What Next? highlights the current problems with Google rankings and affiliate content, basically Google hates thin affiliate content and quickly removes it from the Google search index!

If Google hadn’t removed all my automated (datafeeds = big sites fast) affiliate sites from it’s index I’d probably be making well over £200,000 a year just from affiliate and Google AdSense revenue by now.

But it did and so I have to move on.

Time I gave some AdSense tips.

I own a quite a lot of web sites running AdSense ads, but most of them are relatively new (like this site as I type this) or not fully developed yet (creating content etc… takes time). Even so I make quite a bit of money from Google’s AdSense program and I expect this to increase significantly over the next 12 months as new sites climb out of the Google sandbox.

I started with AdSense end of Feb 2004 with my literature sites. I did everything WRONG because I didn’t consider AdSense revenue important.

AdSense Tip: take some time to research how the AdSense program works for others.
