The whole Page Rank thing is getting way out of hand. I feel if your web site has fresh original content your page rank will improve on its own because your traffic will increase due to readers wanting to reader what you have.

Hi Englishrain

Your not the first person to assume because someone is using one of my themes on a site, that I must own the site.

The site you refer to is not owned by me or anyone I know.

They have downloaded my theme from http://www.morearnings.com/2006/08/13/wordpress-theme-blix-with-google-adsense/ (anyone can do this) and used it with some kind of script to scrape your site (very easy to do).

Nothing I can do about it, I would suggest starting a DMCA complaint as that will at least get the site removed from Google for copyright infringement.

I get my content copied like this all the time and it sucks, if I tried to get them all removed that's all I'd do all day! Better to complain about the ones that are ranking well in google for your SERPs, the rest are probably not harming you and might even help (a lot link back). Not condoning this, just saying it can help you as well as harm.

Good luck.

SEO Dave,
Pardon my barging into the middle of this conversation, but I wasn't sure of any other way to contact. I respectfully request that you remove my WordPress blog entitled 'Delightfully Scattered Thoughts' from the mentalhealth.thehealthsite.info and set your search engines or whatever you use to ignore my site in the future. You have yet to even credit my writing correctly; it's listed under a different username in both posts you've pinged back. If you continue to ping back to my blog I will set it so that no one can do so, and I'd rather not place such a restriction on people who would like to use the information correctly.

If necessary, please contact me at the email address listed with this comment. I appreciate your cooperation.

Great information, definitely a good read...Nice story. Affiliate marketing is a great concept as a way to earn some supplemental income. It hasnt come anywhere near my online selling business (ebay, amazon, etc.), but its some nice extra cash.

I truly believe PR is overrated like others have said. Not sure everyone realizes that msn has been very, very, very good to a lot of people. It seems more people using msn will purchase than those using other search engines. I have a few friends who target msn exclusively.

This whole pr, serp is so darn intricate. Do you think it's just more efficent to outsource the entire seo process?

I have told people many times that page rank won't pay the bills, alot depends on the keywords you are targeting and if you get actual visitors from those incoming links. I have pr1 sites that make more sales than pr4 sites.

the only thing pple really care about on these newsgroups is posting the links to their own sites. I follow up on google's newsgroup and am shocked at the crappy advise given by people w/out a clue.... just so they can promote links to their blogs/sites

i'm all for promoting yourself....but for god sakes, put some thought into your replys

Thank you very much for the timely information on Google Pagerank and Affiliate Marketing. I too believe that working on projects for the long term is the only way to approach marketing which will in turn provide value to visitors and someday customers. Stay Focused on offering value and everyone wins.

Thank you.
