Review of Brian Kopp’s 1-70 WOW Alliance Leveling Guide

This is my World of Warcraft Alliance leveling Guide Ebook review which has an affiliate program (50% revenue share, so yes I get some cash if you buy the ebook via my links).

After the success of my Joana’s 1-70 World of Warcraft Horde leveling Guide Review earlier this month (making me a fair amount of cash) I decided it would be a good idea to try out the Alliance leveling guide since there are more Alliance players than Horde!
Bought a copy of the Alliance leveling guide, it’s similar in format to Joana’s Horde Leveling guide (my review) which I’ve been using to level my Horde Troll Priest quickly (level 70 was easy).
I’ve used the guide to level an Alliance character to level 25 so far (I don’t like playing Alliance, so this was just for the review and won’t level further) and I have to admit Brian has done a great job with the layout. One of my complaints with Joana’s Horde leveling guide was it lacked a little more detail, basically I’m lazy and don’t want to keep referring to Thottbot etc… for quest details. The Alliance leveling guide is much easier/faster to use as the extra detail means less time checking Thottbot etc…
So it’s better than the Horde guide (and the Horde leveling guide is great). Unfortunately as a Horde player I HAVE TO (it’s the law) hate all the Alliance, so if you play the Alliance you suck and I’m going to own your ass at PVP, Battlegrounds etc… because everybody knows Alliance players are all newbies and never beat the Horde in a fair fight
See all you Alliance newbies on the Hellfire Realm, look for Trelp Level 70 Horde Shadow Priest (currently raiding Kara) and I’ll take some honour from your rotting corpse
A little moan about Brian Kopps website
When I first went to the site I found this information-
Now these secrets being revealed are so startling and shocking that it is in danger of being taken off the Internet as we speak so I am only offering 250 more downloads. The possibility that I will ever allow more is extremely slim. I want to help everyone but it would never be allowed.
I expect all 250 copies to be gone before midnight tonight, TODAYS DATE so if you don’t grab yours now then you may never get one.
Basically the date changes automatically making it look like you have hours to secure yourself a copy of the WOW ebook before it’s to late.
This is total bull shit marketing and I don’t understand why someone with a great World of Warcraft product would use it, it really lowers the credibility of the author and I’m sure will loose him orders. Like the Horde Guide (the author of the Horde guide also uses this sort of marketing, though not the time thing) had I not been sure of the quality of the Alliance guide prior to purchase I’d never order from a site like this.
I emailed Brian about it since I want to make money from this article and if the 250 copies left was real it would be pointless trying to sell his leveling ebook, so far no response which is disappointing.
Update: Good news, looks like Brian listens to his affiliates/customers. The text above about 250 copies left has been removed
I never did get an email though

Valkors WOW Gold Making Guide : The author promises up to 200 gold an hour, my limited experience suggests 100 gold an hour is realistic. Looking to make lots of WOW gold see my Review of Valkors WOW Gold Making Guide.
Joana’s 1-70 World of Warcraft Horde leveling Guide: Joana leveled 1-60 a Troll Hunter in 4 days, 20hrs (~10 days to level 70). I’ve used the guide to level my main Troll Priest from level 42 to level 70 and it saved me loads of time. A must buy for fast Horde leveling, see my Review of Joana’s 1-70 Horde leveling Guide.

In response to the marketing ploy I saw it to and it is bullshit, was thinking of writting him a letter and letting him know he should take that off… but in any case I still purchased the e-book and it is a great product. Just wish he’d tone down the site to make it seem less like a late night infomercial.

Been using the Alliance guide for 2 weeks and it’s really sped my leveling speed. I’m no newbie to WOW, already had 3 level 70 toons, but with the Horde. Never played ally. The guide easily halved my /played time.
Pretty cool having my first level 70 ally toon.

I found the leveling guide very frustrating and incomplete at the beginning for any race other than night elf.

I’m fairly new but must admit I like being Horde better than Ally.
I think it’s a bit funny though that the Horde guys do “honorable” quests.

I agree with NightOak’s comments on his marketing strategy, I wasn’t a fan. He does however provide a good product. I personally use Melandri’s 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide because it’s like 15 bucks cheaper minus the map mod and pics.

I have been thinking of buying this guide for 2 weeks and hesitate for one reason only. The marketing. If a product is worth the money, it will speak for itself. Just tell the facts ma’am. If someone wants to navigate away from a page, let them. Don’t keep hitting them with pop-ups. Otherwise, it’s a huge turn off. When will they ever learn?

I have read this guide and I agree with one of the comments above/below - it is really vague on the starting characters roles apart from the Night Elf which as an unexperienced WoW player - is really confusing.
