WOTLK Leveling Guides Update December 2009: I’ve been getting emails that the Wrath of the Lich King leveling guides I’ve recommended are too expensive and could I recommend a cheaper Wrath of the Lich King leveling guide for 1-80 leveling for both the Horde and Alliance :)

So after five months of research and testing (I love playing World of Warcraft) I can recommend The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide as a cheaper alternative to WOW leveling. The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide covers levels 1-80, comes with an ingame mapmod so in concept it matches the other main WOW leveling guides. I’ve leveled 8 toons with this guide (five from level 1 to 80 and three from level 70 to 80) and it’s not my favourite leveling guide, but at $32 for Horde, $32 for Alliance or $47 for BOTH (I bought both, big saving) it’s far cheaper than the other leveling guides, especially if you want to level both factions.

Fat Loss for Idiots Review for Clickbank Affiliates

Fat Loss for Idiots is a very popular ClickBank product for idiotic fat people who want to loose weight :) Just joking so don’t bite my head off and eat me!

Seriously though, I’ve been promoting Clickbank products for over 18 months and it is REALLY hard to find legitimate products to promote. I’m unwilling to promote products that are not good quality, so I’m looking for anyone who has used this product to post a comment below as to what they think of it. The good, the bad and of course the ugly.

I do try a lot of money making opportunities, especially affiliate programs and the majority do not pan out long term, I’m not dumb with what I’ll try, for example I don’t expect to make lots of money from a money making opportunity that doesn’t require a fair amount of effort (although the money I made from Amazon, see later wasn’t hard work to be honest, but then it didn’t last long term).

I also know from experience that even when you hit on a winner the revenue tends to be relatively small: basically nice to have the money, but not enough to live off on it’s own. You pretty much have to promote multiple affiliate programs, some will work, some won’t.

I’ve been an SEO consultant for about 8 years (with 2 years before that running an ecommerce store that I cut my SEO teeth on) and for several of those years I’ve been using SEO Elite (bought it within 6 weeks of it’s release) and as a professional SEO consultant I recommend this SEO software to other SEO consultants who spend a LOT of their time doing SEO analysis.

I would not generally recommend SEO Elite to the average webmaster since a lot of what SEO Elite does can be achieved for free: there’s a LOT of very good free SEO tools and free SEO software these days.

January 2010 Update: It would appear the Ashlings Warhammer Online 1-40 Leveling Guide that I use for leveling and recommend below is no longer available! Fortunately for the last few months I’ve been trying out the Goblin Warhammer Online Mastery Guide which is VERY good and offers more extras than the Ashlings Warhammer Online guide, so in some respects is a better purchase (there are things I’ll miss from the Ashlings WAR Leveling guide).

When I get some time I’ll try to write a full Goblin Warhammer Online Mastery Leveling Guide Review, for now you’ll just have to take my word for it that’s it’s a very good leveling guide :-)

Update December 2009: I’ve been spending a lot of time playing WOW with my guild and though I don’t really need to WOW gold farm much these days I still like to keep up to date with the latest WOW gold farming techniques.

I ‘acquired’ a copy of The World of Warcraft Gold Secrets Guide from a guild friend and it’s bloody good, much better than the Team iDemise and Valkors Gold Guides put together!

So I’m switching my allegiance from Team iDemise Gold Guide to The Gold Secrets Guide

Update March 2009: The three year fixed part of our mortgage ran out recently. Thanks in part to the advice from the site reviewed below we’ve reduced our mortgage by an extra £20,000 now and expect to pay off our 25 year mortgage (22 years left) in well under 10 years from now saving a LOT of interest payments.

Right now waiting to see what happens with the UK base rate so on a variable rate mortgage, when I’m confident the base rate won’t drop any more (currently 0.5%) I’ll get another 3 year fixed rate deal to lock in a low rate while using the tips in the ebooks I bought to reduce the overall loan amount long term (which reduces interest paid overall, that’s how you pay your mortgage faster, you still have to pay the initial amount lent).

Update: Turned out the Social Media Marketing System was all smoke and mirrors. The person running it would get loads of new Facebook contacts, some of which would buy the full version of his products.

I was a member of their forum and there was talk of collaborations together, but reality was nothing came of it and considering my SEO skills you can imagine what I could achieve for/with others. My opinion is it’s setup to take advantage of those without a clue about making money online (take advantage of them).

BTW my Facebook profile was deleted by Facebook, presumably because I was inviting too many people to be my friends. I’ve created a new profile and not gone after any friends, just used it to claim my groups and post on Facebook groups I find interesting.

I’m a long time user of HearMe.com Video and Voice Web Conferencing Software) for Business users as it’s perfect for an Internet based business person like myself (I do all my business online).

I have contacts all over the world, many of which I’ve never met in person (no water cooler chat unfortunately) and as we all know getting to see and speak to a person you work with/for makes life so much easier.

It can be so easy to come across as an arrogant arse hole by email (well it is for me anyway), but speaking face to face via video web conferencing and misunderstandings are mostly avoided, not to mention it’s soooo much faster talking to business partners face to face than trying to explain a complicated business proposal by email to half a dozen people, it lacks the too and fro of a face to face meeting!

Update 1st December 2008 Team iDemise finally updated their leveling guides to include level 70-80 information roughly two weeks after the release of WOTLK.

This is VERY slow and so I can no longer recommend this guide, instead I recommend the use of The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide for $47 for both Horde and Alliance guides or $32 for one faction.

November 13th 2008 Update The Wrath of the Lich King is out and it looks like for the Horde Joana has won the race to release the first Wrath of the Lich King leveling 1-80 Horde Leveling Guide. Joana has included a ingame map mod like the Team iDemise mod and so there is little between the two WOW Horde guides now except who updates fastest.

RegisterFly has been re branded as RegFly, from my research it’s the same people that was behind RegisterFly and when you go to registerfly.com your redirected to regfly.com.

Log in to RegFly with the same user name and password you had for RegisterFly and you get to see a list of domains that got transferred to Godaddy and eNom. Until a week ago when I logged in to RegFly I had a $320 balance that I had left over from my RegisterFly account.

So RegFly = RegisterFly, there is no doubt that this is the same company.

With the advent of WordPress 2.3 we now have tags, a bit like WordPress categories tags can be added to any post you create and so from an SEO perspective can be useful in creating new content from old. There’s more to WordPress 2.3 than just tag support, but from a theme perspective it’s the biggest change.

Pretty easy to make a WordPress theme 2.3 compatible, however in the process of doing so you make the theme no longer work with earlier versions of WordPress. Fortunately I’ve created some tag code that solves the problem (the basic tag code breaks earlier versions of WordPress if you don’t use the function exists coding below) and so rather than creating 2 versions of your WordPress themes, you only need to make one :-))
